One of my favorite wedding traditions has to be something blue! Okay, so it might be because it is my favorite color! 😉 But, I love to see the creative way brides choose to incorporate their something blue into their wedding day attire!
Some brides choose to wear a blue garter.
Some have blue details on their shoes
Some have blue details on their bouquets
Some brides choose blue jewelry…
Which, I’m not gonna lie.. is one of my favorite ways! Only because I love sapphires so much and it’s one way that I used blue in my wedding!
I also a made a blue anklet with a penny on it to fulfill another tradition… since I wasn’t going to have any shoes for my penny, I decided to wear it as close as possible. 🙂
What traditions are you choosing to incorporate into your beautiful day? How will you use blue in your day?
I don’t really know where to start…. photographing these bridal portraits were very special to me because Tyler is my little brother and Candace is my newest sister!
I know what I am biased, but these two are loving, fun and awesome people! It was such a pleasure to be able to capture this amazing time in their lives!
Please enjoy these lovely images as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This is from my very first event in late 2010. At this point, I was not yet a professional photographer. A friend knew I was into photography and asked me to do her a favor. This event changed my life. First, let me talk about the event… A quinceanera (or quince) is the celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday. It is celebrated in most Latin American cultures. At marks the girl’s transition into womanhood. It is a beautiful celebration, nearly the magnitude of a wedding. (This Quince was bigger than my wedding! Though, my wedding was pretty small… I distress, anyways…) There is a court and several over traditions that are followed. Gabby’s quince was a beautiful affair, filled with food, fun and a lot of dancing! Her friends and family came together to make Gabby’s day perfect! I was very nervous shooting this event… I had never done anything like that before. My friend assured me the family was not expecting anything spectacular, just capturing the moments of the day.
Everything Came out so much better than I could have hoped for! When I was culling and editing the images, I even started to cry. That was the moment I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! This was the event that changed the course of my life. So, I want to take a moment to thank Belen for inviting me to capture those moments andI want to thank Gabby for trusting me to capture her big day. Without either of you, I would not be where I am today.

I think that the Carolyn’s sister said it best… “their love is inspirational.” You can see it in the way the look at each other. You can see it in the way they talk to each other. It was a blessing to be able to capture their day!
Carolyn, with her exquisite taste, styled everything perfectly. The details were so cute! Though their were a few unwelcome showers, they made it work.
They are the reason I love this job so much. Blessings Carolyn and Joe! Thank you for letting me document your love!
I love the top left image! Joe just could not wait til the end to give her a kiss, he sneaked one in while everyone was praying. 🙂
