One of my favorite wedding traditions has to be something blue! Okay, so it might be because it is my favorite color! 😉 But, I love to see the creative way brides choose to incorporate their something blue into their wedding day attire!
Some brides choose to wear a blue garter.
Some have blue details on their shoes
Some have blue details on their bouquets
Some brides choose blue jewelry…
Which, I’m not gonna lie.. is one of my favorite ways! Only because I love sapphires so much and it’s one way that I used blue in my wedding!
I also a made a blue anklet with a penny on it to fulfill another tradition… since I wasn’t going to have any shoes for my penny, I decided to wear it as close as possible. 🙂
What traditions are you choosing to incorporate into your beautiful day? How will you use blue in your day?
I don’t really know where to start…. photographing these bridal portraits were very special to me because Tyler is my little brother and Candace is my newest sister!
I know what I am biased, but these two are loving, fun and awesome people! It was such a pleasure to be able to capture this amazing time in their lives!
Please enjoy these lovely images as much as I enjoyed taking them!

The First Look
The “first look” is a new wedding tradition that gives the couple a private moment before the ceremony to see each other for the first time. The couple has reveal moment where they see each other for the first time. This tradition allows the couple to have several private moments before the craziness begins.
Weddings, all though amazing, goes by crazy fast. This time allows the couple to delight in each other before that all begins.
During this time you could talk about your vows, exchange gifts or simply just be.
After the first look, typically the bridal portraits are taken, first just the bride and groom and then the entire wedding party.
This allows for a longer and more intimate portrait session. Typically these portraits can be more creative because there is no time restraint like there would be if these images were taken during cocktail hour with the rest of the family portraits.
Remember, the first look is not for everyone. This is your wedding so do what works for you!
Well guys, I am back! I have been quiet for the past year due to the birth of my first child! I was still taking portrait sessions, but now I am ready to get back to weddings!
I took the year off because I knew that I would not be able to give my clients my full abilities while I was focusing on my new little man! Your wedding is far too important for me not to be able to give my all!
So, now that I am ready to get back into the swing of things… I am celebrating with a re-launch of my website and a wedding discount!
Any wedding booked with me by June 30, 2014 (note… the wedding does not have to happen by June 30, just booked with me) will get a free engagement photo session!
Thanks for hanging in there with me and I cannot wait to begin photographing your love again!

I think that the Carolyn’s sister said it best… “their love is inspirational.” You can see it in the way the look at each other. You can see it in the way they talk to each other. It was a blessing to be able to capture their day!
Carolyn, with her exquisite taste, styled everything perfectly. The details were so cute! Though their were a few unwelcome showers, they made it work.
They are the reason I love this job so much. Blessings Carolyn and Joe! Thank you for letting me document your love!
I love the top left image! Joe just could not wait til the end to give her a kiss, he sneaked one in while everyone was praying. 🙂
